Gh0st, that was the tutorial I was trying to locate to post up here. It was one of the guides my old team the Indiana Ghostbusters used to make our vacuumformed packs. I didn't participate in the process so I can't give hints unforunately. There was alot of trial and error and vaccumformed packs can unfortunately be very brittle. My old one has held up well but has alot of cracks along alot of the major lines of the shell. The cosmetic plate is very weak as well as the bottom of the cyclotron. Ours were filled with foam which helped the durability alot.
Do you still make vacuumformed packs or do you make them in another way?

Nope. The person who had the vacuumformed masters left the Indy team. I'm with the Arizona Ghostbusters now. We make all of our own fiberglass shells, resin, and machined aluminum parts, however we will not sell any parts on the boards due to fears of recasting as well as the drama that goes with being a part shop. We're a non-profit fan club, want to stay that way.

It's probably not easy to make a fiberglass shell, I saw a couple of videos on YouTube how they make fiberglass objects

I always hope one day some company made official licensed proton packs, ghost traps,... like a lot other movies do but I think that will never happen, probably will be expensive too.

i dont see why they woudent be able too. from what i'ver heard these packs can be made from say $200 and then sell for say $1500.. imagine the money they could make.

Probably if Sony makes a deal with (for example) Sideshow to make official authentic proton packs with certificate of authenticity, there probably will be limited editions of 500 or 1000 pieces and would be quickly sold out even if they sell it for $1500.

Master Replicas currently is working on something Ghostbusters related, no idea what yet. Some think it's a PKE. They might make the announcement by the fall.
a guy on that forum there is dropping hints as to what they are going to announce.. from the looks of it we can expect at least a trap, and hopefully a pack.
