Shia LaBeouf Says Another Indiana Jones Movie Going Forward

BBC recently chatted with actor Shia LaBeouf, who was promoting Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and he revealed a follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is in the works.

"Steven [Spielberg] just said that he cracked the story on it before I left and I think they're gearing that up," LaBeouf said.

The actor also talked a bit about the sequel Wall Street 2. "There's definitely no special effects in that movie. Money Never Sleeps, I think, is now the official title now."

Producer Frank Marshall Confirms Indiana Jones 5 Is in the Works

A few days ago we reported that Shia LaBeouf indicated that a follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and now we have more confirmation that this film is moving forward. Empire recently chatted with producer Frank Marshall, who confirmed that the film is being readied and gave a few more details as well. Here's an excerpt from the article.

Although he didn't specify timelines, Marshall told Empire that ideas would be worked on with a view to green-lighting production sooner rather than later. "It's really about the script," says the veteran Indy producer. "Once we see that, we'll see. We're not going to wait another 20 years. We'd all love to make another one. I'm anxious to hear the idea!"

But are Mssrs. Spielberg, Ford and Lucas equally sold on a fifth outing for the whip-cracking archeologist? "Yeah. We had a great time making the last one and, as Harrison said, we need to make this one soon. We're not getting any younger."

Indy V coming 2011?

Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as the legendary explorer - despite being almost 70.

Harrison, who turns 67 later on this month, will play the role of Indy in the fifth film in the series and it is claimed it will be his last performance as the adventurer.

It is claimed filming will not start until next year, and it will not be released before 2011, when the star will be 69.

A source said: “Harrison has kept himself in good shape and could still do a lot of the stunts in the last film.”

The source added: “But it’s obviously not going to get any easier the older he gets. He certainly would never have imagined playing Indiana Jones when he was nearing 70!”

Harrison Ford Says New Indiana Jones 5 Story Is Ready

Those who want to see Harrison Ford on another adventure as his famed archaeologist will get their wish. According to People, Harrison Ford has revealed that the story is ready for a follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

"The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form," Ford told France's Le Figaro. "Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again."

Harrison Ford 'Waiting On A script' For The Next 'Indiana Jones' Movie

Harrison Ford has tackled many, many, many memorable roles over his career. Han Solo in "Star Wars." Jack Trainer in "Working Girl." The United States President in "Air Force One." The fugitive in, well, "The Fugitive." But, let's not forget that at the end of the day he's Indiana Jones. So when MTV News was invited to a Team Earth event where Indy himself was making an appearance, we couldn't say no. After all, it's not every day you get to ask the whip-wielding one what we can expect from a fifth "Indiana Jones" flick.

It seems like Ford doesn't know what to expect from the flick either. Or maybe he just isn't talking. "We're waiting on a script," he said. As for when that script might surface, Ford isn't holding his breath: "Ah, not yet."

Okay, so he was basically playing coy. We're used to it; guys like Ford love to play it coy when asked about their high-profile projects. He tried to avoid the question the way Indy would avoid snakes. We won't hold it against him. He brushed off the questions, but he did it with a smile and a wink. This is something we also appreciate.

We just hope they take Sean Connery's advice, given after "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" hit theaters, that the running time should be cut down a bit next time if they want him to see it.
