Neve Campbell Returns as Sidney Prescott for Scream 4!

Bob Weinstein has confirmed that Neve Campbell has signed to return as Sidney Prescott for Scream 4 for Dimension Films. She is accompanied by Courteney Cox and David Arquette who have already signed on.

The concept isn't original anymore unless we see some new twists we hadn't seen before in this new Scream trilogy.

Will Scream 4 Be Filmed in 3D?

It seems that the new installment of a 90s horror staple might be adding another dimension. According to Bloody-Disgusting, The Weinstein Co. might be prepping Scream 4 to film in 3D.

The site is also reporting that franchise director Wes Craven is getting closer to directing the fourth film as well. Original Scream
writer Kevin Williamson wrote the script and franchise staples
Courteney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette and Neve Campbell have signed on
for the new film.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any and all developments for Scream 4 as soon as we have more information.

Kevin Williamson Reveals Scream 4 Details

Earlier today, Scream 4 writer Kevin Williamson announced on his twitter page that he's "writing. late night". MTV has caught up with the scriptwriter and confirmed he is completing the script for Scream 4, and concurrently writing the 5th installment as well. Here is what he had to say:

"The fourth one is an ensemble. It'll take place right now, 10 years later, and it's going to take place in Woodsboro. We'll have our three main characters, and we'll be introducing several more. We'll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That'll take us through the next three."

The three characters that will be returning are Sidney (Neve Campbell), Gale (Courteney Cox) and Dewey (David Arquette), Williamson confirmed, adding, "We'll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That'll take us through the next three."

Courteney Cox-Arquette Dishes on Scream 4

Courteney Cox-Arquette is coming back for Scream 4, and she recently spoke with Associated Press, and while she is indeed signed on, it doesn't seem that the script is ready yet.

"They're probably back living in Woodsboro," Cox said referring to the small California town that was the setting of the first film. "I think that he's probably still deputy, and I've had a lot of kids. I don't know. I'm probably miserable, and then I'm sure a lot of murdering will happen."

Original Scream writer Kevin Williamson is back on board, but after Cox-Arquette's comments, it's not clear how the film is coming along. We'll keep you posted on any new details on the film as soon as they arise.
