How long has it been, 2 years since FF2?

20th Century Fox Is Rebooting Fantastic Four

Century Fox is looking to develop a third installment in the Fantastic Four franchise.

According to Variety, Akiva Goldsman has been hired to oversee the reboot as producer. Michael Green will write the script for the new Fantastic Four.

The 2005 Fantastic Four and 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer were directed by Tim Story and starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis. Since the deals for the reboot are just getting made, it is unclear if any of them will return.

No production date has been set.

lol, it has begun, reboot before the next sequel has been made:

Quote:
Resident Evil to Reboot the Franchise with the 5th Film!

While Sony's Screen Gems is readying another installment of a popular franchise, it's also looking ahead to reboot the franchise as well. Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that after Resident Evil: Afterlife, which is set for an August 27, 2010 release, the studio is looking to reboot the entire franchise.

The film is tentatively titled Resident Evil Begins and the film was described as a "quasi-reboot."

While it's a long, long, long way off, the idea is to redo the story of a special military unit who fights a powerful, out-of-control supercomputer and hundreds of scientists who have mutated into flesh-eating creatures after a laboratory accident.

Does this means Sony already working secretly on a reboot of Ghostbusters too? Laughing

Corey Feldman Set to Return in The Lost Boys 3: The Thirst

Cashing in on all the Twilight hype is Warner Brothers' second sequel Lost Boys 3: The Thirst. According to Bloody Disgusting, Dario Piana, best known for his film The Deaths of Ian Stone, is gearing up to direct a third film in this popular vampire saga. The best news is that Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander will be reprising their roles as Edgar and Alan Frog, world-class vampire hunters and surfboard shapers.

Apparently taking a cue from all of the Lost Boys: The Tribe reviews, Piana will this time focus the film solely on the plight of the hugely popular Frog Brothers. The storyline will attempt to cash in on the hoopla surrounding Stephanie Meyers and her novel series Twilight. The synopsis has been described as such:
"When veteran vampire hunter Edgar Frog finds himself destitute and almost friendless, he thinks his life has hit bottom. But wealthy vampire-romance novelist Gwen Liebling offers him a small fortune to go on the vampire hunt of a lifetime and rescue her son Peter from the Alpha Vampire D.J. Dusk. With the help of his friends Zoe, Lars and Blake, Edgar heads into a bloody battle to exterminate all evil."

The film is set to begin filming this November in South Africa. As per Corey Feldman's own blog, he and actor Corey Haim, whom he starred with in the original film The Lost Boys, have reconciled their differences in the wake of Michael Jackson's untimely passing. Feldman stated, "Haim and I finally spoke for the first time in over a year. He called to make a truce. For the record, there was never an issue worthy of trucing. This has been vastly demonsterised in the press, but the TRUTH is....I still love the guy, I still care about him, we are just very different people now and I honestly feel sad that it has gone this way. But who knows...Maybe one day we'll find our way toward working together again."

So it's still possible that Haim could still be a part of this third film. Lost Boys 3: The Thirst will be released in late 2010. It will most likely go direct to DVD, but there is still a slim chance that it will hit select theaters.

Steve Guttenberg Announces Three Men and a Bride?

It seems that the three men's baby from the 80s is all growns up and heading down the aisle. Hollywood.com recently spoke with Three Men and a Baby star Steve Guttenberg, who revealed that Disney is moving forward with Three Men and a Bride. Here's what Guttenberg had to say.

"Disney's developing Three Men and a Bride. That's going to be a smash. A smash hit. They're bringing everybody back for that. Nobody knows about it. I'm the first to talk about it."

Guttenberg also revealed he'd like to see sequels to two of his other 80s franchises as well:

"It's definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon. They're surefire hits and I think they're good for the world. They make the world a better place and that's what it's all about."

You mean 18 ans après (2003)? lol

The American remake has already a sequel too: Three Men And A Little Lady but it was never based on the french sequel because it was made 13 years earlier.

Corey Haim to Return in Lost Boys 4

The actor says that Warner Brothers Premiere is planning on making one movie a year

Lost Boys 3: The Thirst was recently announced with Corey Feldman coming back as Edgar Frog. Directed by Dario Piana, The story follows veteran vampire hunter Edgar Frog, who finds himself destitute and almost friendless. Just when he thinks his life has hit rock bottom, wealthy vampire-romance novelist Gwen Liebling (in a direct riff on Twilight} offers him a small fortune to go on the vampire hunt of a lifetime and rescue her son Peter from the Alpha Vampire D.J. Dusk. With the help of his friends Zoe, Lars and Blake, Edgar heads into a bloody battle to exterminate evil. The plan is to reunite Edgar with his brother Alan, which will find actor Jamison Newlander returning to the series. We recently caught up with Feldman to discuss the upcoming direct-to-DVD film. He told us that he'd reconciled with his on-again, off-again partner in crime Corey Haim, but he wasn't sure if Haim would return in Lost Boys 3: The Thirst.

We just got back from chatting with Haim, who confirmed that he will not be participating in Lost Boys 3: The Thirst due to his very busy schedule. But he is in fact looking to come back for Part 4, in which Sam Emerson will play a huge part in the storyline. Haim said that there are certain stipulations in bringing his beloved character back to the small screen as he was personally unhappy with the direction the second film took. He will have some say over the character's personal arc this fourth time around. He also revealed that Warner Premier is planning on making one Lost Boys direct-to-video sequel a year. Though, he thinks this may spoil the original film and its magic. He didn't mention how big a part in the overall series Sam Emerson would have.

He went on to say that he is very proud of Corey Feldman's recent accomplishments in both film, music, and the Netflix original series Splatter. Though he is looking forward to Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, he doesn't think anything will ever be as good as the original.

The year started that the remake was dead:

Now this hits the net:

Marti Noxon Penning Fright Night Remake

Mad Men writer-producer Marti Noxon will script DreamWorks Studios' remake of the 1985 horror comedy Fright Night.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, before her work on the hit AMC series, Noxon was a writer-producer on the bloodsucker series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, so fangs and stakes are in her blood.

The original Fright Night, released in 1985, was written and directed by Tom Holland and starred Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall and William Ragsdale. Ragsdale played a teenager who discovers his neighbors are vampires.

The new version will keep the comedy-horror tone while modernizing the effects.
